Gwendolyn “Gwen” Franssen is a young model, pageant titleholder, athlete, and advocate who uses her story to encourage confidence, kindness, and inclusion.

Diagnosed with alopecia universalis at age four, Gwen has grown up embracing what makes her different and helping other children feel proud of who they are. Through modeling, pageantry, and community service, she hopes to show that confidence does not come from looking like everyone else. It comes from showing up as yourself.

Gwen is the founder of Glitteracy, her service initiative focused on confidence, representation, and belonging through books.

Current titles include Miss Virginia Ultimate USA Preteen (2026), Miss Preteen Virginia Star (2025), and Junior Miss Five County Fair (2025).
